Here is the story of Sounds of Addiction.
Origin: Each member of the Sounds Of Addiction comes from different disciplines of music ranging from R&B, Soul, Soft Rock, Alternative, Hip Hop, Reggae, Punk and Hawaiian Slack Key.
The idea that addiction to sounds can be a positive feeling is what drove these gentlemen to forge an alliance in hopes to spread this addiction. Each band member carries their own individual addiction to music, and it is through their collaboration that a fusion of different sounds make their way to the stage. A drummer who originated in punk, a self-taught punk guitar/bass guitar player, a multiple Grammy Award Winning Ukulele artist, a singer/songwriter from Oregon and a soulful singer from Lahaina is what comprises this group. Original tunes emanate a style all on its own – combining soothing harmonies, playful ukulele rifts and a roots rockin’ vibe. It is their goal to promote music as a healthy and enjoyable addiction.
